To day in Gordon was very cold again ,but no snow ..... The small quilt exhibition at the little country hall was pleasent but not many ladies came in for coffee but the ladies that did show were happy with the Show & Tell that Ann and I put together. My friend Ann is pictured with her little toy poodle Peggy Sue.

Tomorrow my friend Ann from http://www.annzmaterialworld.com/ are doing a small quilt exhibition and workshop in basic patchwork and showing the next weekend workshop in What You Can Do With a Jelly Roll in our little town hall at Gordon. We hope the cold dosen't keep the ladies away.

snow snow everywhere
I have lived in Gordon near Ballarat for 6 years but this is the heavest snow I have seen out my front door.
Just recently I went back to Benalla to be part of a quilt exhibition put together by the group i started in 1996 "The Daily Quilters". They did a great job of putting together over 50 quilts and raised some money for The Biggest Morning Tea.
A couple of years ago I taught a lovely lady Ann basic patchwork she has gone one step further and now has a Patchwork shop on the internet WWW.Annzmaterialworld.com today we are getting together to do a workshop to be at the Gordon Hall on Wednesday morning, so i'll be off now catch you later

first blog .....Here We Go
after looking at mt friend Kerry Gillespie of "My Favorite Things" blog I dicided to try one myself..... so here we go...
I have been Passionate about Quilting for many years now after learning basic patchwork and quilting in Singapore in 1984. I had done patchwork before that making my DD (dear daughter) a quilt for her pram in 1975 but I didn't know what i was doing in thoes days, being an interior decorator i played with lovely fabrics for many years.
When I returned to Melbourne in 1997 I opened a Patchwork shop "Manily Patchwork" in Moonee Ponds. in 1998 we moved back to Singapore in i took over the teaching of patchwork from the lass who taught me and sarted WWQ World Wide Quilters. doing work shops, challenges and quilt exhibitions. In 1991 we returned to Australia and moved to North East Victoria. When settled in Benalla I started teaching patchwork again and held a "Quilts i the Garden" exhibition and started The Daily Quilters we met every Wednesday morning with lost of fun and laughter along with some stitching.
On April 13th i had a terriable horse riding accident which was to change my life for ever ..but that is for another blog.
